The second conference of the Community Media Network, “Radio Al-Balad,” titled “Independent Media – Strong Society” featured extensive discussions on the future of radio journalism amid the rapid advancement of information technology and artificial intelligence, with the participation of a number of experts and specialists from the media and technology sectors.

Mohammed Abdulqader, CEO of Sprintive, participated in the second session titled “The Future of Radio Journalism in Light of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges,” where he shared his perspective on the impact of artificial intelligence on the media sector and the new opportunities it creates for media organizations.

During his participation, Abdulqader emphasized that artificial intelligence is no longer just a supporting technical tool, but has become a key factor influencing how content is produced, managed, and distributed. He noted that media organizations today must better understand user behavior and adapt to rapid digital transformations to maintain sustainability and competitiveness.

He also highlighted the wide range of opportunities AI technologies provide for supporting media operations, including speech-to-text conversion, language proofreading, translation, accessibility improvements through technologies such as sign language integration, content and advertisement personalization based on audience behavior, and the ability to expand into new markets through multilingual content and translation.

At the same time, Abdulqader pointed to several challenges associated with the increasing adoption of AI in media, including its impact on certain traditional jobs, the need to preserve the human and creative aspect of content, as well as concerns related to fact-checking, copyright, and the spread of misinformation.

The session also featured contributions from several media professionals and specialists who discussed the transformations taking place in radio media, the role of modern technologies in enhancing digital content experiences, and the challenges community radio stations face in keeping pace with these developments.

Sprintive’s participation in the conference reflects the company’s ongoing interest in digital transformation and emerging technologies, as well as its commitment to contributing to conversations around the future of media and technology, and the role of innovative digital solutions in enhancing content experiences and accessibility.
